April wine chart
Our April chart includes five exquisite wines, all best-sellers, recognized for their intense taste and unmistakable consistency.
Here are the five wines we propose for your enjoyment:
– Sassicaia, San Guido Winery, 2010, 0,75 lt.: our wine chart must begin with an important wine such as this one. A rich, intense, and harmonious wine that has been awarded three Gambero Rosso glasses and 94/100 points on Wine Spectator. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc, this wine is quite dry to the palate, but presents an almond finish. It is perfect to pair with game or red meat.
– Sagrantino di Montefalco, Scacciadiavoli Winery, 2015, o,75 lt.: this red wine, 100% Sagrantino, comes from Umbria. It presents violet nuances in its color, while emanating a sweet and flowery smell. Its richness—increased by the presence of sweet tannins—, as well as its durable balsamic aftertaste, make it a wine bottle that you do not want to miss. How can you increase its taste? By sipping on it while eating red meat and cheese.
– Carpace Sagrantino di Montefalco, Lunelli Winery, 2015, 0,75 lt.: this is another important bottle, Umbrian and 100% Sagrantino; it is as powerful as it is soft. This high-quality wine is characterized by its balance and particularly refined aromas, which is the result of aging in wood. A true excellence of Tenelli Lunelli, to combine with red meats and wild boar.
– Chianti Classic Isole and Olena, 2016, 0,75 lt.: sight, taste, and smell are immediately enchanted by this 100% Sangiovese, winner of 3 Gambero Rosso glasses. From the first sip this crimson wine releases an intense flavor of ripe fruit. Currant and licorice, however, are the first hints that envelop the nose. A bottle to enjoy with beef or game meat.
– Ornellaio Bianco, Ornellaia Winery, 2015, 0,75 lt.: to close the April wine chart in style (and with a bottle of white wine) we chose a special product. With its golden color, this 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Viognier boasts a remarkable freshness and a balanced, creamy, and veiled mineral aroma. It goes perfectly with seafood dishes, as well as with finger food.
